• The Final will take place in November and also serves as the annual year-end function.

• A player must play a minimum of two rounds in a year to be eligible for the next year's challenge.
• Fixture dates will be set in advance and can only be moved if the majority of players agree.

Game Rules

Mulligans and Whaa's

• Each player will be granted one mulligan and one whaa to use during a round.
• Whaa's can only be used if they do not disturb other groups or players on the course.
• Each fourball will be presented with a snake.
• A player will be presented with the snake for each 3-putt made on a hole.
• If two or more players make a 3-putt, the last player to complete the 3-putt receives the snake.
• Only putts on the green will be counted, not putts from the fringe or off the green.
• Each time the snake changes owner, it increases by R10 in value.
• The money from the snakes will be used in a kitty for the 19th hole.
• Normal R&A Golf Rules apply, except where club exceptions are listed.
• For a lost ball where no provisional was played, a player may take a penalty drop at the spot where the ball was last seen or entered to speed up play.
• Gimmies may be granted at the discretion of the players in the fourball, but may not exceed 3 foot.

Scoring

• Scoring is based on a player's handicap at the start of the round.
• Stableford ties are ranked by countback.
• Players with no handicap are assigned a competition handicap.
• Previously affiliated players use their last known handicap index.
• Never affiliated players are assigned a handicap index of 16.
• Competition handicaps are reduced by 3 for winning a round, 2 for second place, and 1 for third place.
